SARA – Spectroscopic Monitoring Station

With detector options including NaI(tl) and LaBr3(Ce), the SARA is designed for automated field based environmental measurement and offers on-line and automated gamma dose-rate data with isotope identification.

 Small and compact, the SARA is configurable for environmental air or liquid monitoring, and provides very low detection limits within the nSv/h region, over a gamma energy range of 30 keV to 3 MeV.

Fast, sensitive isotope identification is a key feature of the SARA. In operation, the system will automatically identify peaks within the spectrum and provide isotopic specific real-time dose rate analysis. The system will also automatically calibrate energy response in the field using naturally occurring K-40.

The robust design of the SARA components allows operation in practically all climate zones without restrictions in accuracy or stability. Available as stand-alone solution or as part of a monitoring network, the SARA can be packaged as a in a fixed or mobile station, powered via with mains, solar or wind energy (see overview of SARA Product Family).

SARA network architecture will support hardwired and wireless communication, and GPS can be incorporated for mobile stations.
